The Pregnancy Outcome in Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Background: In women of reproductive age, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a prevalent endocrine condition. Menstrual irregularities (oligomenorrhea or amenorrhea), hirsutism, persistent acne, androgen-dependent alopecia, abdominal obesity, hypertension, and infertility are all clinical signs PCOS.Objective: To assess the success pregnancy in patients with ovary syndrome.Materials Methods: This observational cross-sectional study was carried out Department Obstetrics Gynaecology at Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College Hospital, Enayetpur, Sirajganj, Bangladesh from June 2020 to May 2022 for period two years. Women diagnosed PCOS were willing participate our recruited obstetrics Out patient (OPD) antenatal ward Hospital. After obtaining an informed consent them, detailed interview schedule containing socio- demographic details, menstrual/marital/ obstetric/past/personal/ family history taken.Results: Concerning complications Preeclampsia found 5 (9.1%) but not non-PCOS patients. The differences gestational age mode birth between groups statistically significant (p>0.05). Perinatal outcome: 21 (39.6%) admitted Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), compared 11 (20.0%) Which (p<0.05).Conclusion: present suggested that preeclampsia relatively common condition, such hyperglycemia, frequent group. comparison group, group had considerably greater rates low weight NICU admission.
